Our Lunar New Year 2024 celebrations were very successful.

Thanks to our special guests for sharing your greetings, sponsors (CIBA, Dairy Queen, Intracorp, McDonald’s, Caterina Restaurant Corp., MJ’s Natural Pharmacy, MOSAIC, RBC, Save on Foods, Starbucks, Telus, Vancity, and Winnie Florist) for their unique ways of support, and volunteers from our community partner, South Vancouver Neighbourhood House, for their valuable support.

Thanks to the hundreds of local and outside South Vancouver residents who stopped on Victoria Drive and won prizes during our Lunar New Year celebrations. Thanks also to all the local businesses who helped with raffle prizes or participated in the lion dance “Picking the Greens”. 

On the event day and within 3 hours, in addition to the special prizes donated by our sponsors, we managed to give out 500 gift items to those who spent $15 or more at any of the local businesses on the same day. That showed our successful endeavour again in supporting our local businesses. Thanks to the local Chinese media for providing free marketing for the event!

We hope to see you at our Neighbourhood Cleanup (in partnership with the City of Vancouver) on June 8 (Saturday) at Jones Park, and Summer Festival on July 27 (Saturday) also at Jones Park.
